- Volumizing Shampoo

Method:
- Wash your hair using a volumizing shampoo and condition it.
- Detangle your hair while conditioning.
- Squeeze it gently with a towel. Do not rub your hair while drying.
- Apply hair gel or any other hair product that gives you good hold.
- Separate the crown are of the hair and put it in a bun. This is the last area to work on.
- Start with taking an inch of your hair from side and wrap the ends around the index finger, creating loop. Hold it properly with your index finger and thumb.
- Start rolling it upwards until it reaches the roots of your hair. Make sure you are rolling it upward, away from your face.
- Hold the rolled part of your hair flat on the scalp and pin it. If you make thick sections, there will be marks of the hair pins on the rolled section of the hair.
- Do this exact process for the rest of your hair. Once you are done with the bottom, do it for the crown.
- When all the sections of your hair is rolled and pinned to the scalp, cover your hair with a silk scarf to keep the pins in place and absorb moisture from the hair.
- Undo the curls when you wake up in the morning. Remove the pins when the hair is dry completely.
- Do not use a blow dryer as it may frizz your hair.

7. Braiding

- 2 hair ties

Method:
- Wash your hair and wait for it to dry almost 70%
- Separate it in two parts and braid on both sides
- If you want your hair to be wavy on the ends, make two regular braids on both the sides
- For waves starting near the hair roots, make two boxer braids or French braids on both sides
- Make sure the braids are tight enough, to not let your hair frizz when you open it
- Keep the braids on until it’s dry. You can even do the braids before bed and undo it the next morning.
- Finger comb your hair after undoing the braid and use some hairspray or any other hair product that you think will give you extra hold.
8. Velcro Rollers
This is an amazing curling alternative as they save your hair from any heat damage, while giving it volume and body. If you want tight curls, use smaller sizes of Velcro rollers and for big hair waves that gives volume to your hair, choose the larger sizes.
What you need:
- Towel
- Comb
- Velcro Rollers
- Hairspray/hair gel
Method:
- Wash your hair using a volumizing shampoo or just dampen it.
- Squeeze your hair dry with a towel. DO not rub it.
- For thick hair, part your hair and roll it upwards. If the hair texture is fine, you need not part it.
- Make sure you keep rolling upwards until the Velcro rollers snug against the scalp.
- You do not have to pin the rollers to fix. In case, they are not sticking, you have taken a thick section.
- Let the rollers stay in your hair for couple of hours. While your hair gets set, do other important work in the house.
- Undo the curls and simply finger-comb. Finish it with a hairspray or gel to hold it longer.
9. Bantu Knots
This one is a great way of getting tight, spring-like curls. The Bantu Knots works perfectly for almost all the hair types and helps decrease the frizz.
What you need:
- Towel
- Bobby Pins
- Shower Cap
- Hair Gel/ Other Product For Hold
- Hairspray
Method:
- Wash your hair, condition it and squeeze it dry.
- Once it is almost 80% dry, take 1-2 inches of your hair and twist it until, it looks like a rope.
- Twist it tightly to form a tiny bun.
- Secure this part with a bobby pin
- Do this for all the hair, until all of it is pinned up in Bantu knots.
- Cover your head with a scarf or wear a shower cap and sleep.
- The next morning, remove the scarf or shower cap and let your hair dry completely.
- Undo each knot, one after another and finger comb.
- Finish using hairspray.
10. Paper Towel Method
This method is using tissues as an alternative to rollers. It gives natural curls, tight and springy.
What you need:
- Towel
- Paper Towel Roll
- Hairspray
Method:
- Wash your hair and towel dry it. You can also dampen it with a spray bottle.
- Fold a paper towel, making it 1-inch wide and almost 4-5 inches long.
- Take 2 inches (or less) of your hair and wrap around the paper towel (in the middle area).
- Roll it upwards, until it reaches the scalp.
- Tie the paper towel to the rolled up hair.
- Do this for the rest of your hair in small sections.
- Sleep with the towels in your hairs
- Undo it the next morning and finger-comb the hair
- Use a hairspray or hair gel to hold it for long.
11. Sock Method

- Hair tie
- bobby pins
- Sock
- Scissors
- Hairspray
Method:
- Wash your hair or dampen it with a spray bottle
- Squeeze it dry using a towel. Do it until it’s 80% dry.
- Pull up your hair and tie a high ponytail.
- Cut the toes of your sock and roll it to make a doughnut out of it
- Take the ends of your hair into the hole of the doughnut (your rolled sock).
- Wrap the hair ends around the sock and roll it upwards until it reaches the scalp.
- Use some bobby pins to secure it.
- When your hair is completely dry, undo the bun.
- You need to keep it for at least 5-6 hours.

- Wrap a headband on your head, while your hair is damp

- Repeat the same process on the other side and pin the ends to secure
- Wait until your hair dries. You can use a blow drier to fasten the drying process or just go to bed with the headband on
